Nice to meet you, I'm Flo
I'm Flo (she/her) a C-IAYT yoga therapist, yoga nidra facilitator, vinyasa yoga teacher and an invisible handicap advocate.
"Let's create together a space where every bodies are welcomed."
My yoga journey started more than 10 years ago when I was still working in the corporate world and going to my weekly Ashtanga group class. After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2014, losing the partial use of my legs, my practice had to change drastically and I could not find a place that would accommodate my needs. So I practiced at home, on my own, my yoga mat becoming my only safe space.
In 2019, in the midst of a complete burnout and after spending 5 years regaining strength and learning how to run again, I decided to enroll into a 200 hours vinyasa teacher training so I could help myself dealing better with a chronic illness. While doing my teacher training I was introduced to the use of yoga in the context of trauma. This is when I discovered yoga therapy. I finally had found something that made sense to me and my condition. A place where I did not have to have the perfect “able” body to do yoga. I quickly found the Yoga Therapy Institute in Amsterdam and enrolled into their 800 hours program.
Saying that this was life changing would not be enough to describe the huge impact this training had had on me, my healing and my life overall. I very quickly had the confirmation that I was in the right place doing the right thing.
I am now committed to share all my knowledge with you and create together a space where everyone feels welcome no matter the age, physical condition or abilities, body type, gender, race, social background.
